Today I met a very cute dog in the north square of Xinzhuang, Shanghai. He could play with ball. Haha~ Enjoy. Yepper.

Finally, Layoff is coming...

My company, Dow Chemical, will lay off 5,000 employees globally. Totally, we have over 40,000 employees, so the rate is about 11%. It is a ok rate, comparing with our "partner" BASF's 20,000 lay off anouced a little earlier. Heard that the final decision will come out before this X-mas, so it will be quick. Now we are dreaming to hear the "free" order when one morning working day.
After acquiring R&H, we believe there will be another time layoff. So even we survived to have a job, who knows what will happen two month later.....
Life is good, but will not easy when we are totally free. Even with the company, the situation waiting ahead of us is still hard next year.
I went to Dongguan several times this year, a place which is famous for its out-port goods. Now many plants have closed down or half-open. The worst time has not come yet. We have to prepare for that.

Company outing to Xiamen, First day (1)

Xiamen is always famous for its beauty, and it really shocks me today, with her rain, especially when we comes up to the highest mountain of GuLangYu Island....

Xiamen is a city near Taiwan island. The nearest part is only over 1km to Kingmen island of TW. So the development of this place is a little bit slower than other "special" cities in China, such as Shenzhen and Zhuhai. Recently, this city is developed fastly with the warmer relationship between mainland and TW. A lot of Taiwanese lives here, which is the main reason for her high reel estate price, at least I think. The overall price of reel estate is similar with Shanghai....

The first picture shows the city flower of Xiamen, called "Triangle flower", because of the flower shape. It could see everywhere in the city.

In the first day, our main visit target is GuLangYu, which is also the most famous place in Xiamen. This picture shows the view of GuLangYu from Xiamen.

Because of the "strange" relationship of mainland and TW, there is a trip to take you have a look at Jinmen Island. This picture shows the special dragon boat that used in this trip. I will take that if we have time tomorrow or Monday.

Here comes the useful part, ticket price. For all sites, the total price is 80 rmb. Actually, the most important one is Sunlight Rock (日光岩). If you have enough time, (>5 hour), you could buy those tickets together with a relatively cheap price.
